Litsa in her kitchen

In her own words

“Cooking, painting, writing — to me they are all the same thing: a way to wrap the people I love in warmth.”

I am Litsa — a Greek daughter, mother and grandmother who carried the sunlight of the islands across the ocean to Canada. My kitchen smells of oregano and lemon, my hands are always in flour or paint, and my heart is happiest when the table is full and someone is laughing.

I write and illustrate stories for children, I cook the recipes my own yiayia whispered to me, and I paint the colours of a life lived fully. Everything I make is an invitation: come in, sit down, you are family now.
